The Prep started hard ball cricket with coach Sean Blackwell in Term 1, with boys from Grade 4 to 7 making up two teams. We initially played internal matches to get our boys accustomed to formal cricket and used the Ashley Sports Club, which they loved. This term, we managed to play two fixtures, while another two were rained off. The first
fixture was against Forest View and the second against Hillcrest Primary.

These matches have been a brilliant learning experience for our boys, who played well, showing understanding of the game and good sportsmanship. Special mention to Johnny who got Waterfall Prep’s first hat trick in the match against Hillcrest Primary! Thank you to our coaches (Mr Blackwell, Mr Laubscher, Mrs Cooke and Mrs Rendilheiro), parents and staff who have supported our boys during their debut cricket season. We look forward to getting them back on the pitch as soon as possible.
