Norman Henshilwood High School Launches Groundbreaking Learner-Driven Podcast

Norman Henshilwood High School is proud to announce the launch of its debut podcast, The Normies Pod—a first-of-its-kind, learner-driven video podcast on the African continent. This exciting new initiative is entirely produced and led by students, providing a unique platform for learners to engage in meaningful discussions on topics that directly impact their lives.

The first episode, which is now available, focuses on the critical issue of bullying in high school environments. Through open and honest conversations, students share their personal experiences and insights, fostering awareness and solutions to combat bullying in schools. By tackling such relevant and pressing topics, The Normies Pod aims to give students a voice and create a space for important dialogue among peers.

“We are incredibly proud of our learners for taking the initiative to create this groundbreaking podcast,” says Principal of Norman Henshilwood High School. “This project not only develops their creative and technical skills but also encourages leadership, critical thinking, and social awareness.”

To take The Normies Pod to the next level, the school is reaching out to businesses and individuals in the local community for support. Sponsorships and contributions will enable the podcast team to acquire the necessary technology and equipment to transform their vision into a fully professional studio setup. Investing in this initiative means supporting youth-led innovation, digital literacy, and meaningful storytelling.

“We believe in empowering our learners to lead conversations that matter. With the right resources, this podcast has the potential to grow into something truly impactful,”.

Norman Henshilwood High School invites local businesses, organizations, and individuals who are passionate about youth development and digital media to partner with them in supporting The Normies Pod.
