Congratulations to Merrifield College’s First Boys’ and First Girls’ Tennis Teams who emerged victorious in the Annual Egalite Independent Schools Tennis Tournament in Sun City at the end of August.

The Boys’ Team of Noah Ciganek, Connor Barnes, Calvin Richardson, Ande Jayiya, Mthawelanga Mboniswa and Ryan Krummeck played against the top 6 boys of Cornwall Hill College, Beaulieu College, Somerset College and St John’s A and St John’s B, ending first in the Boys’ Section.

The Girls’ Team of Michann Eva, Shaelyn Hartley, Cami De Villiers, Tenique Pillay, Aimée De Lange and Abigail Connock ended first in the Girls’ Section after wins over Chisipite Senior School, Holy Rosary School for Girls and Redhill School.

Merrifield College is especially proud of the commitment, effort and sportsmanship shown by their players who attended early morning practices at the school courts in preparation for the week of tennis in Sun City.
