Soar is our word of this year! Every year the prefect council is tasked to come up with a new motivational word. Last year the word was RISE, which the 2021 grade 12 students truly lived by. There was an increase in their over-all grade 12 pass rate of 13%. We are all proud of the 2021 grade 12’s and we will do our best to “Soar” to even greater heights this year.

On the 5th February 2022 Lady Grey Arts Academy had their prefect training which was conducted by our liaison teacher Miss Belle. We learned about what it means to be a leader, how to cope with challenging situations, the importance of supporting one another as a group, how to lead by example and how to strive to be the best. We also took part in team building games that taught us commutation, adaptability and creative thinking. It was naturally a battle between the boys and the girls. We learned that the two groups have different skills which they can offer the council. The girls were much better at all the communication games while the boys were better at games where strategic planning was necessary. As the prefect council we have a lot of plans for the school and we will leave behind a lasting legacy as we SOUR to the next level.
