Northwood High School recently took part in a competitive and entertaining Easter Hockey Festival, hosted by King Edward VII School (KES). The event brought together strong opposition and provided an excellent platform for early-season development.

A massive thank you must go to KES for their outstanding hospitality and for organizing a well-run festival. The quality of hockey on display throughout the tournament was impressive, with Northwood producing some favorable results and consistently playing an exciting, attacking brand of hockey against all their opponents.
One of the standout fixtures for Northwood came against the hosts, where KES proved to be the stronger side on the day. Credit must be given to KES for outplaying Northwood during this clash. However, equal recognition goes to the Northwood boys, who showed great resilience and determination by fighting hard until the final whistle.
Beyond results, the festival proved invaluable in preparing the team for the season ahead. The experience gained, combinations tested, and intensity faced will undoubtedly set the boys up well for upcoming fixtures.

Northwood would also like to extend sincere gratitude to their sponsors, whose continued support makes opportunities like this possible:
- Hyundai Durban Central
- Hyundai KZN
- Midway Foods
- Edgars
- Edgars Beauty
- Puma
Overall, the Easter Festival was a valuable and enjoyable experience for Northwood High School, laying a strong foundation for the season ahead.
