The teachers and SGB of Hoekwil Primary School have decided to have regular entrepreneurs days this year (one each term).  The management team discussed the importance of equipping the learners with certain skills – including business skills. Therefore, the idea of the entrepreneurs days will be to get children to learn to think like an entrepreneur.  We encourage them to think of an idea/product that is unique, to plan, develop, promote and then eventually sell the product on the day.

We had our first entrepreneurs day for this year on the 15th of March and it was a roaring success.  The kids had LOADS of fun and all did really well selling their products/services.  From earrings, to decor, water balloons to hair-painting, food, etc. One of the rules of the day was that children are supposed to do this all by themselves, therefore also make their products themselves.
