Hillcrest High School is the proud recipient of the Eco-School’s International Flag Award for 2023, awarded by WESSA for the school’s diligence in working towards a healthy environment at the school. WESSA, the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa, is a Non-Profi t Organisation made up of People Caring for the Earth. The HHS Eco-Schools Club is involved in various recycling projects and has implemented a number of eco-friendly initiatives at the school, including a food garden, tags for wheelchairs collection and bottle top collections.
