Crawford International La Lucia Pre-Primary learners embarked on an exciting social and environmental awareness programme in partnership with Clothes to Good (an organization which recycles pre-loved and new textiles, clothing, shoes, and any retail apparel) and their collaborative partner H&M. Not only does this programme tie in with our IB PYP goals of creating awareness around local and global issues, but it also focuses on the sustainability issues of the fashion industry – which is the second highest polluter globally. By taking part in this initiative, our young students were enabled to act as change-makers in caring for the environment. An incredible 70 bags (equivalent to 700kg) of donations were collected from our students and their families, which will now be handed over to Clothes to Good for recycling. We are so proud of our students’ sustainability efforts!
