Glenashley Prep entered both a Grade 6 and Grade 7 team into the Mandela Day Coding Tournament, hosted by Durban North College, Kenville Primary School and the Umgeni North Convenors. 200 learners from 20 schools participated. The aim of the tournament was to provide learners with opportunities to expand their career dreams in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, focusing on coding principles which inspire learners to pursue careers in coding, software development, artificial intelligence and other digital careers. Our teams can be most proud of themselves!

Congratulations to Team Grade 6, for 1st Place in your Grade Cateogry, in a time of 12 minutes 16 seconds and to Team Grade 7 for 2nd Place in your Grade Category, in a time of 15 minutes and 57 seconds, winning Glenashley Prep 1st Place in the Primary School section, and being awarded 2nd Place and 5th Place for the quickest time!  We are very proud of our coding champs, and wish to thank and acknowledge our IT Educator, Mrs Deverani Naicker for powering our teams to success!
