The first ever South African National Geography Olympiad was held on 7 June. Glenashley Preparatory School are very proud to acknowledge the participation of their learners in the Olympiad and to announce that the School achieved 1^st place as the top State school in the Primary School category in the country. Grade 7 learner at the School, Ryan Ward,  won 2^nd place in the top five primary school learners in the country, and was the top primary school learner for KwaZulu-Natal. A number of other learners achieved certificates for placement in the top 5 – 15%, as well as participation certificates.
