Dundee HS leaders attend Rotary Youth Leadership Course in Port Shepstone. On 2 – 8 October 2022, Gr 11 learners – Zandisiwe Maphalala and Hanro van Zyl – attended a leadership course hosted by Rotary in Port Shepstone.  These young learners were treated to many informative talks on leadership.

Held annually since 1963, the course has achieved a high standard, leading to a demand for places that exceeds those available.  The Annual Youth Leadership Course is a project of the Rotary Club in Port Shepstone inviting participation by High Schools in KwaZulu-Natal.  Their purpose is to equip a diverse group of high potential leaders in Grade 11 from a wide cultural and socio-economic range of KwaZulu-Natal schools with the capacity to develop their effectiveness as leaders.  Both Zandisiwe and Hanro felt enriched and have improved their understanding of leadership and concomitant skills and were able to construct their own leadership framework.  They were also able to make many friends and describe the experience as enjoyable and enriching.
