Dundee High School vs Vryheid Landbou

On the 17^th May, DHs played an away game against Vryheid Landbou.  All the games were interesting to watch and DHS teams played with passion once again.  DHS’s Red Knights secured a win with 4 – 2.  Well done to Mr Nkambule for beating Vryheid Landbou’s coach in a game to entertain the players.  The u/14 and 2^nd team hockey teams drew 0 – 0.  The netball U14 A team won 14 – 4, U15 netball unfortunately lost 7 – 17.  The second netball team won 22 – 11 and the first netball team remained undefeated with a victory of 61 – 6.  The girls played their best even after being physically hurt on the court making their captain very proud.  The u/14 rugby team lost by 19 – 0, the U15 rugby team won 24 – 0 and the u/16 rugby team also won 24 – 5.  The second rugby team performed well but in the end they lost 18 – 0.  The first team rugby boys played as the sun set and made DHS proud with a win of 15 – 3. Well done to Ngcebo Ntshangase, Michael Molefe and Lulama Ndebele for scoring tries in this game.  All teams played their games holding the school’s name high.  Strenius Ardua Cedunt.

On Saturday, 20 May, Dundee High School competed against Vryheid High School.  The scores were as follows:

Netball:

• U14 lost 4 – 15
• U15 lost 9 – 17
• U16 lost 6 – 22
• 2^nd team won 15 – 4
• 1^st team won 78 – 14

Rugby:

• U14 lost 0 – 5
• U15 won 10 – 0
• U16 won 10 – 5
• 2^nd team lost
• 1^st team lost 13 – 24
