Dundee High School is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by our choir at the recent SASCE competition they participated in. The school choir participated on the 8th of May 2026, in the regional competition in Msinga.

Our choir competed in the Western Music category and delivered a performance that earned 1st place at the competition. The adjudicators praised the group for their discipline, tonal balance, and expression, bringing great honour to the school.

Special recognition goes to our soloists and our trio. The soloists were Nkazimulo Dlamini – solo mezzo soprano, Zekhethelo Kulati – solo soprano, Sifando Mnguni – solo bass. A highlight of the event was the trio performance by Nkazimulo Dlamini, Nkazimulo Khumalo, and Sibusisiwe Sikhakhane, which showcased exceptional harmony and stage presence.

In addition, all the students mentioned above represented Dundee High School with distinction at the regional level, where they placed 2nd in their category. This is a remarkable achievement and reflects the high standard of talent and dedication in our music program.

Dundee High School’s choir will advance to represent the school at the provincial round of the SASCE competition on 10 June 2026. The school community extends its best wishes to the choir as they prepare for this next stage of the competition.
