Dundee High School learners spark at Eskom Expo for young scientists. On Friday, 28 July 2023, our young scientists travelled to Newcastle to take part in the annual Eskom Expo for young scientists.  The following learners received the following awards:

• Ofentse Nkoagatse and Owethu Mohutsioa : Highly commended Group Project
• Bongeka Mayisela : Bronze Medal
• Kwanele Mtshali : Gold Medal and Most Promising Project
• Nehal Ramgolam : Gold Medal and Best Mathematics Project

Well done to the above learners.

Tennis: On 28 July 2023, Dundee High School competed in a tennis tournament hosted by St Dominic’s Academy in Newcastle.  The team played against Ferrum  and Sarel Cilliers. The overall tournament results were as follows:

• Ferrum 10
• Dundee High School 8
• Sarel Cilliers 3

Dundee High School took first place in the mixed doubles division. Dundee High School also took first place in the Girls Singles Division. Ferrum won the Boys Singles Division and Dundee High School finished second. We are very proud of our tennis team who worked hard during the July holiday in order to improve their skills.

Cricket: On Friday, 28 July 2023, our u/15 cricket team played against Ladysmith High and won by 129 runs. Our Dundee High School first team travelled to Ladysmith on Saturday, 29 July 2023, and also won by 134 runs! These two teams have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with and we are proud of them for starting the league with such overwhelming victories.
