In a remarkable display of intellect and resolve, Dundee High School’s senior debate team has concluded the year undefeated, solidifying their legacy with a triumphant victory over Ferrum High at Newcastle High in the inter-school debate on 11 October 2024.  Eleven schools from surrounding districts participated in the highly anticipated competition, fostering a vibrant atmosphere that showcased exceptional debating skills.  As our team entered the arena the energy was palpable; they knew this final contest would test their mettle and affirm their dominance in the debate circuit.

The senior team, lead by Nehal Ramgolam, Luqmaan Khan, and Muhle Khambule shone brightest on this momentous day, earning the prestigious title of Best Speaker with unparalleled command of language and logic.  His words sliced through opposition arguments with surgical precision, each point articulated with such intensity that it left no room for doubt.

As the final echoes of the debate resonated through the hall, it became clear that Dundee High had not only claimed victory but had done so with a commanding presence that will be remembered for years to come under the astute guidance of Mrs Sewmangal, whose dedication has been the force behind every triumph.  (report  by Nehal Ramgolam)
