Curro Somerset West Joins the Beat of History! Curro Somerset West proudly joined over 1,200 marimba players on 2 August 2025, at Grand West in Cape Town, to officially break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Marimba Ensemble.

Under the guidance of educators Wilmari Reynecke and Renée van den Berg, our learners played with heart and precision, contributing to a moment that will echo through history.

Curro Somerset West is honoured to have played a role in this record-breaking event. Here’s to more milestones, more music, and more moments that move the world.
