Kyalami Karate students were rewarded at the 2024 Shotokan-ZA Annual Awards. Sensei Mari du Preez could not help but beam with
pride after the students received their certificates for the hard work they put in. Shotokan-ZA (SZA) is the school’s annual awards
ceremony which was held on 10 February. The awards aimed to celebrate the achievements of the 2022 and the 2023 calendar years.
Kiash Mkkano Harilal (Grade 9) from Crawford International Sandton College was awarded SZA International Junior Colours for
representing South Africa at the 11th WUKF World Karate Championships in Scotland in 2023. He was also awarded the Floating trophy for the best individual in the Ruby League: Cadet Male. We, at Crawford Sandton, are so proud of your achievements and congratulate you on these awards. Well done, Kiash!
