Camps Bay High learner Jordan Prince,  has successfully completed the Bronze Level of The President’s Award for Youth Empowerment Programme. In order to complete the Bronze level of the Award, Jordan has successfully completed 24 hrs of community service, 3 months of a physical recreation, 3 months of skills, an Adventurous Journey of 2 days and 1 night. Open to young people between the ages of 14 and 24, the Award consists of 4 sections: – Community Service, Adventurous Journey, Skills Development and Physical Recreation which can be achieved at Bronze , Silver and Gold levels.

The Award levels are progressive and as one moves from one level to the next, the requirements increase,
which in turn intensifies the challenge, requiring increasing levels of commitment, perseverance and determination
from The Award participant. The Award Programme is the most inclusive youth development programme in South Africa, enabling young people from correctional centres, community youth groups, residential youth facilities, resourced and under-resourced schools, tertiary institutions and youth organisations to participate and collaborate in Award activities as they work towards completing a Level.
