Wynberg Boys’ Junior School entered 22 athletes in the Paarl Boys’ Primary School night meeting. A perfect night for athletics under a mountainous backdrop resulted in excellent performances by our boys, with Seth Davids setting a new U12 100m record. The U12 relay team, made up of Seth Davids, Joshua Gonsalves, Niyaaz Allie and Mikaeel Frieslaar broke the U12 relay record set by WBJS in 2008. Three of our 5 relay teams finished in first place.

At the end of the night, WBJS had walked away with 16 gold, 2 silver, and 7 bronze medals. A staff member from Paarl Boys’ Primary approached us on the night to compliment us on our boys’ good manners. They were blown away by the boys greeting them continuously. What great ambassadors for the school and their families. We are extremely proud of them all.
