Congratulations to Shanelle Venter who was named the Dux learner for 2021 during the hall opening on Monday. Shanelle achieved 7 distinctions and finished with an average of 90%. Ever since 2019 when Shanelle enrolled at Volksrust High School, she has proven that she is a hard worker and only wanted to give her best. She worked actively to always deliver the best performance in the grade.

Volkies is particularly proud of Shanelle. Her prize-giving marks in Grade 12 compare excellently with her final examination achievements, which indicates that Volkies’ academic standard is perfectly spot on: Afrikaans First Additional Language 95 at school and 97 in the final examination, English Home Language 90 and 82, Computer Application Technology 94 and 92, Life Orientation 89 and 90, Physical Sciences 88 and 88, Life Sciences 86 and 94, Mathematics 86 and 85 and the average 89.7 and 89.71. In two of the subjects she performed even better in the final examination than during the year at school level! Volkies wishes Shanelle a bright future and looks forward to tracking her career.
