947’s Anele and the Club broadcast from Crawford International Pretoria, On Tuesday 9 September, Radio 947’s Anele and the Club brought their Schools’ Invasion to Crawford Pretoria from 06h00 to 09h00. The team arrived full of energy and good humour, even jokingly referring to the Crawford Preparatory Principa, Mrs Chrisna Swanepoel as “Hillary Clinton” and the Crawford Pretoria College Principal, Mrs Reshma Maharaj as “Kamala Harris” because of their resemblance to the two American stateswomen.

Parents and students filled the school’s astroturf to cheer on the broadcast, waving banners and singing along to the music. The atmosphere was festive and warm despite the cloudy skies over usually sunny Pretoria.

The morning also featured live performances from Jeremy Loops and Grammy Award-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo, adding an unforgettable soundtrack to an already exciting day.
