Following their recent tournament, Swellendam High School’s first team hockey boys and girls faced Curro Hermanus on the 21 July. In the boys’ game Curro took an early lead, scoring in the first few minutes. This early setback put our team on the back foot, but they remained determined and focused. Despite the initial pressure, our boys managed to hold off further attacks for the remainder of the first half. In the second half, our team came back stronger, displaying improved coordination and strategy. Their efforts were rewarded when they scored a well-deserved goal, leveling the match. However, the joy was short-lived as Curro Hermanus quickly responded with another goal, regaining the lead.
