Congratulations to Emily Geldart, a bright and ambitious learner at St George’s Preparatory School.

The Gymnastics South Africa National Championships, took place between 1 and 10 October 2021, with gymnasts competing in all disciplines across multiple venues. St George’s Preparatory School’s very own Emily, competed against the whole of South Africa, what an incredible achievement!

Not only is she an outstanding Gymnast, she achieved first place in her academic class last year, is involved in string orchestra and is part of the swimming team. We commend you on all of your achievements and on holding the St George’s name on in such high ranks.

She competed in level 5, age groups 6-9 years, and received her Eastern Cape colours.

Her results are as follows:

• 1st on vault
• 4th on bar,
• 4th on beam,
• 4th on floor and
• 2nd overall

Emily is attending the prize giving on the 11^th  February where she will receive two awards.

One for placing top 3 at Gym Games, and the second for being the top level 5 gymnast in Eastern Cape.
