Boys’ Hockey 2022. The season kicked off with a bang, with 34 players attending the first practice. During the preseason tournament which took place earlier this year, three teams from St Dominics Newcastle participated. Results were as follows:

• U16: Played three – lost two and drew one.
• 2nd team: Played three – lost two and drew one.
• 1st team:
  St Doms vs DHS: 1 – 0
  St Doms vs FHS: 0 – 0
  St Doms vs NHS: 1 – 0
  Final vs Ferrum: Scores tied at 0 – 0. The match went to 8-second-shootouts, where St Doms was narrowly defeated, ending 2nd for the tournament.

During the league, we streamlined into two teams – 1st and 2nd team – and had many competitive practices! These are the results of the league fixtures:

Ndumiso Ncube (grade 8) was selected for the KZN Inland u13B team. Mvelo Mashinini was selected as umpire for the u16 IPT in Stellenbosch.
