St Andrew’s College U16 St Stithians Basketball Tournament results

St Andrew’s College U16 St Stithians Basketball Tournament results. The St Andrew’s College U16A Basketball team participateed in the U16 St Stithians College Basketball tournament.

Results of Day 1:

  • Match 1 vs St Alban’s 16 -31 Loss
  • Match 2 vs St Charles 31-20 Win
  • Match 3 vs St Stithians U15 32-17 Win

On Day 2 and 3 of the St Stithians basketball tournament, St Andrew’s College U16A team competed against St Benedict’s in the Top Sixteen in a fierce battle to secure a spot in the Quarterfinals. Despite their best efforts, St Benedict’s proved to be a formidable opponent, defeating the College U16A side. Undeterred by the setback, the boys regrouped and faced Falcon College from Zimbabwe in the 9-16th Placing Matches. The St Andrew’s College U16A team emerged victorious against Falcon, showcasing their competitive spirit and teamwork.

The win against Falcon College earned the boys a spot in the 11-12th Position Match against St David’s Marist Inanda. However, the fast-paced playing style of St David’s presented a tough challenge for the College U16A team, resulting in a loss in a hard-fought match. Throughout the tournament, the boys and coaches gained valuable experience and honed their skills as a cohesive unit. The challenges faced on the tour provided opportunities for growth and development, enabling the team to form strong bonds and improve their performance on the court. The St Andrew’s College U16A team looks forward to building on their experiences from the St Stithians tournament and translating them into further growth and success in their basketball journey.

  • Match 4 vs St Benedicts 07-29 Loss
  • Macth 5 vs Faclon College 19-15 Win

Day 3

  • Match 6 vs St David’s 13-43 Loss

Well done to the boys for finishing 12th in the St Stithians Basketball tournament.
