Paul Roos Gymnasium learner Beor van Reenen (Gr. 10), represented Freestate at the SA Surf Casting Championships, held in Langebaan from 26-29 January 2022. Freestate ended the tournament in 4th place, one point behind KwaZulu Natal, with Beor achieving Top Junior Angler of the Championships. He also managed a new SA Surf Casting Record for a Bluntnose Guitarfish of 71cm caught during the tournament.
