180 Schools participated in the UCT Maths Competition in 2022 and we are proud to say that Parel Vallei once again ranked as one of the top 5 schools, an achievement that PV has been sustaining for an astonishing 19 consecutive years! Our Parel Valleiers scored 3185 points out of a possible 5400 with Rondebosch in 1^st place and only Westerford, Wynberg and Bishops before PV. 9 of our learners were invited to the prize-giving on 19 August where some further individual achievements and top 10 positions were celebrated.

 Jared Slater finished 1^st in Grade 11, Benjamin Kleyn 3^rd in Grade 12, Chaeyoon Lee 7^th in Grade 9, Daniël Cilliers 10^th in Grade 10 and Louis Cronje 10^th in Grade 11.  Migael Badenhorts and Quan van der Merwe finished 2^nd of all the Grade 9 pairs and Agu Holzapfel and Henry Jones 2^nd of all the Grade 10 pairs. Congratulations to these learners and well done with these brilliant results!
