It’s been a busy start for Rugby at Oatlands Preparatory School (Makhanda/Grahamstown).

The U13A’s have gotten off to a flying start. On 11 & 12 March they participated in the annual Frans Erasmus U13 Rugby/Netball Festival, hosted by local school, PJ Olivier High School. The boys ended the festival unbeaten, with the scores as follows:

• vs Port Alfred High School won 45-0
• vs Cradock won 5-0
• vs Hangklip won 15-5
• vs St Mary’s GHT won 15-5
• vs Fort Beaufort drew 5-5
• vs Dr Viljoen drew 5-5

Oatlands U13A at the Frans Erasmus Festival

The past weekend (Sat 19 March) the U13A’s participated in the St Andrew’s Sevens Tournament. The boys won all 4 of their games, claiming the trophy with a lead of 11 tries over second place.

The boys have gone unbeaten for 12 games and look forward to some exciting fixtures vs Grey and Selborne.
