New year new faces for Lady Grey Arts Academy

New year, new faces for Lady Grey Arts Academy. Lady Grey Arts Academy would like to welcome our new educators to the family. Tamryn Hector is the new EMS and Business Studies educator. She grew up in Malmsbury, in the Western Cape province. Tamryn completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and graduated in the Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching (FET) in 2022. As an undergraduate, she majored in Business Studies and Life Orientation and minored in Sport Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She sees herself as a “go-getter” and she is always willing to take on new challenges. Tamryn is very passionate about teaching and loves working with children and leading them in the right direction. Her goal is to prosper in her chosen profession, which is teaching. She believes that her journey with the Lady Grey Arts Academy will be prosperous.

Suecaina Nomganga is originally from the Free State and is the newly appointed Natural Sciences and Technology teacher for grade 7-9. She will also teach Life Orientation for grade 9. She obtained her degree in Senior and FET teaching from Sol Plaatjie University in the Northern Cape (Kimberley). Suecaina obtained 4 distinctions out of her 6 modules. Her majoring subjects are Life Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics. She surely has a passion for teaching and believes that no child should be left behind, irrespective of their learning abilities and believes in equality in the system. Suecaina is looking forward to work with the amazing staff and learners of Lady Grey Arts Academy.

Inga James Is from Lusikisiki, EC. She is our new English Home Language educator for grades 10-12.  She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2020 and a PGCE in 2021 both from Rhodes University. Inga is a qualified and registered English Home Language Senior and FET phase and Life Orientation FET phase educator. During her Bachelor of Arts degree, she minored in Dramatic Arts and African music. She is family orientated and enjoys empowering young people, which is why she has taken on the role of being an educator.

Charmaine Smit is our new English Home Language educator for grades 7-9. She is studying for her Bachelor in Education in Senior and FET phase, specialising in English and Business studies. She has been developing her love of teaching since 2018, where she has worked in China and Vietnam for 4 years, teaching English as a foreign language to students from the age of 4 years till adults. Charmaine enjoys singing, walking in, and protecting nature and developing our future minds. She believes with fun, attention and dedication, any student can reach their full potential. She is looking forward to her time at the Lady Grey Arts Academy and is happy to be part of the family. Lady Grey Arts Academy wishes them all of the best and hope they will be very happy with their new beginnings.
