We are proud to celebrate one of our very own at Milnerton High School, Ms Michaela Stander, who has been named the Metro North District Winner in the National Teaching Awards (NTA) 2025 for Excellence in Teaching Physical Sciences! Ms Stander’s dedication, innovation, and commitment to academic excellence have not only impacted her learners but have also made a lasting impression across our district. Her influence goes far beyond the classroom. Through her popular online platform @missmmartins (Youtube: Miss Martins Maths and Science), Ms Stander has built a strong following across South Africa, sharing creative and accessible science content that continues to inspire both learners and fellow educators nationwide. She now moves forward to represent Metro North Education District, and of course, Milnerton High School, at the Provincial Level of the NTAs. We are confident that her passion, professionalism, and energy will continue to shine in this next stage.
