This year we started an art competition for the learners of the Lady Grey Arts Academy. Ms. Pike’s aim is to get learners to take part in more extra mural art activities and to give them the opportunity to make use of their knowledge about the different art techniques while they take part and compete in the competition. Each term there will be a new theme and the work of the winners will be exhibited in the school passages.

The competition had a slow start but we are positive that it will gain more momentum throughout the year. The artists who created the best artwork will receive prizes such as art materials and other treats. As the competition gains interest, we hope to involve surrounding schools in these competitions as well. The prizes were made possible by our many sponsors in Lady Grey and I would like to thank each and every one of these sponsors. We at the Lady Grey Arts Academy appreciate everyone’s assistance and donations.
