Glenvista High class of 2022

The Glenvista High Valedictory ceremony is an annual event held to honour and celebrate the matriculants of the previous year for their achievements as well as passing. A significant number of awards were also handed out to the top learners for the various subjects. Nabeel Mahomed was awarded the most certificates leaving with 14 certificates on the night. Nabeel achieved 8 distinctions (this includes adMaths). GlenVista High is very proud of the entire 2022 matric group who achieved 126 distinctions across the subjects offered at the school. The following students received Academic Achievement, to qualify for an Academic Achievement award pupils need to have an overall average of 75% or higher, excluding Life Orientation.

The Umbono Fund Managers’ Award – awarded to the best matric pupil in two of the three of the three subjects Accounting, Business Studies and Economics: Daveena Marimuthu
The Consumer Studies Award – Awarded to the top Consumer studies student: Seanne Naidoo
The Design School of Southern Africa Award – awarded to the top Visual Art student, excelled in painting and Drawing, showing innovative thinking and creativity as well as original compositions: Nomonde Booi
The Grant Computer Science Award – awarded to the top Information technology student: Nabeel Mahomed
The Mech Award for Scientific Excellence – awarded to the best matric pupil in two of the three subjects Mathematics, Physical Science and Life Sciences: Nabeel Mahomed
The Top Mathematics Achiever Award – awarded to the top Mathematics pupil: Nabeel Mahomed
The Physical Science award – awarded to the top Physical Science pupil: Nabeel Mahomed
Dux Scholar – awarded to the pupil with the highest overall average in their grade, with 91.9% in his final matric examination: Nabeel Mahomed
