Five Cannons Creek Independent School karateka have been selected to the KSISAS National Squad

Five Cannons Creek Independent School learners have been selected to the KSISAS National Squad following their achievements this past weekend (31 August/1 September) at the KSI South Africa South Karate National Championships (held at Wynberg Military Base). Maria Stamatiadis (Grade 6) won Bronze in her Kata division, Antonios Stamatiadis (Grade 6) won Bronze for Kata and Gold for Kumite, Khloe Potgieter (Grade 8) won bronze for Kumite, Georgie Crede (Grade 8) won Gold for Kumite and Sophia Stamatiadis (Grade 10) won silver for Kumite and Gold for the Unison Kata Youth Division. The final team will be selected from the squad to represent KSI South Africa South at the World Championships in Finland in June next year.
