Epworth School notched up its 22^nd Eco-Schools award for its commitment to caring for the environment. To achieve the award, the school successfully addressed 10 Eco-Schools themes in 2026, implementing a diverse range of events and projects. The judges commended Epworth on its achievements: “Epworth School has submitted an exemplary portfolio of evidence… As the oldest Eco-School in South Africa, Epworth continues to demonstrate that a rich heritage and forward-looking environmental stewardship can go hand in hand…Your ongoing dedication and consistent environmental action continue to make a meaningful contribution toward a more sustainable future.” Pictured are prep and high school girls with the Epworth teachers who are responsible for the environmental portfolio.
