Curro Somerset West proudly launched its Recycling Depot in 2024, inspiring learners to take action for a cleaner, greener future. Every Wednesday morning in Term 1 and 4, Eco Club members help sort recyclables, turning sustainability into hands‑on learning and community spirit. What We Accept: Glass, paper, plastic bottles (1ℓ, 2ℓ & 5ℓ), cans, cardboard, and e‑waste.

The school also introduced the Eco Bricks Challenge, encouraging learners to repurpose non‑recyclable plastic into eco‑bricks. These are donated to the Pearl Project in Helderberg, supporting sustainable building initiatives. Points are awarded per brick, with prizes for the top class — turning waste into purpose.Through these initiatives, Curro Somerset West nurtures young leaders who value innovation, responsibility, and environmental care.Together, we’re prowling for a greener tomorrow.
