Curro is pleased to announce the appointment of Pinky Mosito as Executive Head of Meridian Rustenburg. The appointment is a natural and well-considered progression: Mosito has served as Head of High School at Meridian Rustenburg since 2016, and her promotion to lead both the primary and high school phases represents a full-circle moment for a leader whose commitment to this school community has never wavered.
Mosito brings a career spanning three decades in independent and enrichment-focused education. She began as Deputy Director at the Taung Education Enrichment Centre from 1995 to 1997, before taking on her first headship at Lebone II Royal Bafokeng Independent School from February 1998 to June 2006. In August 2006, she was appointed Headmistress at Rustenburg Educational College, a role she held until 2013. Her journey later brought her back to Rustenburg, where she has spent nearly a decade shaping the high school phase at Meridian Rustenburg. This deep institutional knowledge, combined with her extensive leadership experience, uniquely equips her to take the helm across the full school.

Mosito holds a Bachelor of Arts and Higher Education Diploma from the University of Limpopo, where she achieved a distinction in Philosophy of Education. She has continued to invest in her growth, completing a Certificate in Basic Computer Science from the University of Johannesburg, a cum laude Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Business Management College of SA, and an Advanced Management Development Programme certificate through Curro. Her academic profile reflects the same commitment to lifelong learning she expects of her staff.
For Mosito, education was never simply a career choice, it was an inheritance. Her father served as a school principal for 48 years; her mother was a high school teacher until retirement. Growing up in a household where teaching was a profession shaped a leader guided by purpose rather than ambition, and that ethos has defined every role she has held.
Mosito is drawn to Curro’s emphasis on value-driven education and the balance it strikes between academic rigour and extramural development. ‘I’m always excited to offer my services to an organisation that focuses on high-quality teaching, structured support systems, and a well-resourced learning environment – where teachers can deliver meaningful, impactful education,’ she said. Her vision for Meridian Rustenburg focusses on strategic leadership across both school phases, reinforced by data-informed decision-making, strong staff development, and a relentless focus on improving outcomes for every learner.
Meridian Rustenburg is well regarded in the community for academic excellence, a culture of discipline, respect and integrity, and a growing investment in modern teaching tools and digital learning. Mosito’s appointment strengthens the school’s commitment to providing learners with an education that prepares them not only for further study, but for a rapidly changing world. ‘My aim is to provide strategic support and leadership across both phases,’ she said, ‘and to build on the strong foundation that already exists here.’
Her leadership philosophy is rooted in relationships and lifelong growth. ‘Focus first on building strong relationships,’ she advises those entering the profession. ‘Never lose sight of your purpose. There will be challenging days, but the impact you have on learners’ lives is lasting and meaningful.’ It is a conviction shaped, in no small part, by watching her own parents live those values every day.Outside the school gate, Mosito is grounded by faith, family and the outdoors. She is an active community member and an avid reader of motivational literature, with good music never far behind.Mosito’s appointment signals Curro’s confidence in growing its leaders from within, and the Meridian Rustenburg community’s determination to keep building on a proud legacy of academic excellence and values-driven education.
