Clarendon High School for Girls learner shine on the national chess stage

Clarendon High School for Girls are thrilled to celebrate Viha, one of our talented learners, for her incredible achievements on the National chess stage! Viha represented South Africa at the African Youth Chess Championships in Zimbabwe in the U14 Girls category. She scored 6/9 points (5 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses), placing 5th on points and 10th overall out of 45 girls in her age group! Shortly after, Viha represented Eastern Cape at the Mzansi Chess Championships Team Event in Port Elizabeth. Playing on the top board for her U16 Girls team, she delivered an outstanding performance. Her team finished 2nd overall, and Viha was named top player across all teams, scoring 5.5/6 games and achieving the highest performance rating in her category! Congratulations Viha on your exceptional skill, determination and dedication.
