Congratulations to Cannons Creek Independent School Grade 10 learner Qaylah Omar who has been elected to the Junior City Council (JCC), in her role as a City Ambassador where she will represent both the City of Cape Town and the youth within it. “My application process began in November 2025 and included assessments of my leadership skills and knowledge of how the city operates, followed by an interview. Throughout the programme, I will take part in workshops and discussions about local government while also planning and implementing a community project that will hopefully make a meaningful impact. I am so excited for what this year holds!”
