Bredasdorp’s HS chess players excel in the Western Cape Top School Championship

On the 6th and 7th of September seven of Bredasdorp High School’s chess players participated in the Western Cape Top School Championship, held at Hermanus High School. The learners participated as a U17 Mixed team. The “Mixed” implies that they played against teams containing both male and female players. HSB’s U17 Mixed team finished 8th out of all the U17 Mixed teams in the Western Cape.

Javen Hansen won all his games and won a trophy for his performance on board 2.
