TOP ATHLETES HONOURED THIS WEEK: SPORT STARS WITH DISABILITIES LAUDED. The Free State Sport Stars dinner honours the best sportsmen and women with disabilities in the province. The prestigious event, presented by Central24 and the University of the Free State, takes place at Monte Bello, Bloemfontein, on 13 October 2022. The sport stars with disabilities honoured in 2022 are:

Kristiaan Klopper, from Bethlehem Voortrekker High School (athletics – shot put and discus, U20 F64)

Participated in SASAPD National Championships for first time and claimed two medals (shot put and discus). Threw SA records in both – in shot put 9.19 m and discus 28.21 m. We are proud of you Christiaan!
