Benoni High School student and devoted baseball player, Mia Cloete (grade 9) won the B division NBC U18 ladies team as their lead pitcher playing against both boys and ladies and has been selected as the U15 boys’ top pitcher and lead pitcher for tournament side.  This has never been done by a girl before. She is the only girl to receive 1 of 30 black SA caps for the age groups U12 to U18. Mia is currently the SA U16 Ladies lead pitcher and should be receiving elite squad letters for both U15 boys and U18 ladies as the lead pitcher for both.
