Aliwal-North Primary School landservice members gained another skill

At the Aliwal-North Primary School’s monthly Land Service meeting, on the 17th April 2023 the Grade 4 and 5 Land Service members cleaned and decorated the coffee bottles that will be used for the Jars of Hope project.
Our grade 6 and 7 Land Service learners gained another skill in handcrafting. They each got 5 pegs, a wooden plank, paint and glue to make their own “notice clips”. It was a fun afternoon where they had the opportunity to use their creativity to make something beautiful and useful. Sydney Gurewitz Clemens said, “Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.” At our Land Service club, we strive to form strong creative and unique individuals.
