ACUDEO College Protea Glen proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of one of its shining stars, Bophelo Mabotja, whose stellar matric results have cemented her as a beacon of excellence and determination. Bophelo achieved an impressive four distinctions, excelling in Mathematics (88%), Life Orientation (93%), Information Technology (87%), and Life Sciences (88%). Bophelo’s journey to academic success is marked by consistent brilliance. She has been the top achiever in her class from 2019 through to 2024, a testament to her unwavering dedication and intellectual prowess. Her accolades include securing the coveted position of standing first in Mathematics (2022, 2023), Physical Sciences (2022, 2023), Information Technology (2023), and Engineering Graphics and Design (2022).

“Bophelo’s exceptional performance in the matric results exemplifies the ethos of excellence we strive for at ACUDEO College. Her journey is an inspiration to her peers and a source of immense pride for our school community,” said Manuela Jardim, Principal of ACUDEO College Protea Glen.When asked about her inspiration, Bophelo credits her mother, whom she describes as “one of the most hard-working people in my life.” Despite facing the challenges of teenage motherhood, her mother’s determination and resilience have been a guiding light for Bophelo. Beyond academics, Bophelo is a well-rounded individual with a passion for netball, reading, journaling, and chess. Her diverse interests reflect her dynamic personality and a drive to excel in all aspects of life. Looking ahead, Bophelo plans to pursue a Bachelor in Computer Sciences and Computer Engineering at the University of Cape Town (UCT). With her sights set on success in life, business, family, and friendships, she dreams of travelling the world and living life to the fullest. “Bophelo’s achievements are a reminder that dedication, resilience, and a supportive environment can propel individuals to great heights. We have no doubt she will continue to shine and inspire others as she embarks on her next chapter at UCT,” Jardim added.
