Elkanah House swimmers excel at the SA Level 2 Regional Age Group Championships

Elkanah House Prep swimmers made a wonderful impression at the SA Level 2 Regional Age Group Championships 2026 in Oudtshoorn – an important milestone on the national swimming pathway. Across three days of long-course racing, the team displayed confidence, resilience and exceptional team spirit, rising to every challenge in the pool.

Highlights from the championships included:

  • Anna Dabrowski (Gr 5) : 10 events (8 individual, 2 relays) with 4 personal bests
  • Julia Rutenberg(Gr 5) : 5 events, with a personal best in the 200m Individual Medley
  • Kayla Coutts (Gr 5) : 15 events (11 individual, 4 relays), 4 personal bests, and a finalist placing of 7th in the 200m Breaststroke
  • Sophia Millar (Gr 6) : 9 events (4 individual, 5 relays), with 3 personal bests
  • Logan Zhang (Gr 5) : 9 events (7 individual, 2 relays), 6 personal bests, finalist in the 100m Breaststroke (5th) and 200m Breaststroke (6th), and first Level 3 qualifying times in both events
  • Sean Kondo(Gr 5) : 10 events (8 individual, 2 relays), 8 personal bests, and silver medals in the Boys 200m Medley and 200m Freestyle Relays

We are proud of each swimmer for the dedication, courage and sportsmanship they showed throughout the competition. Well done to all on these outstanding achievements.
