Crawford International La Lucia Pre-Primary Grade 0 learners learnt about the different types of pollution during their Transdisciplinary Unit on “Sharing the Planet”. Our Pre-Primary students pledged to collect 100 plastic bags per class and in return our principal, Mrs Tribe, promised to purchase a tree for them to plant.

Students then advertised and encouraged all the Grades in the Pre-Primary to collect plastic bags, bottle tops and bread tags. The students took action and encouraged other Grades in the rest of the school to collect plastic bags as well. The Grade 0 students collected over 500 plastic bags and Mrs. Tribe purchased a ‘False Olive Tree’ to be planted in the garden. The plastic bags collected will be given to the NPO, “The Magic Bean Foundation”.
