On Friday, February 9, St Teresa’s Senior Primary School in Rosebank and Junior Primary School in Craighall Park turned into a sea of vibrant reds and pinks as our learners and staff celebrated Valentine’s Day with enthusiasm and compassion. From crimson dresses to rosy accessories, our campuses radiated with the joy of the Valentine’s Day festivities which included a donation drive to benefit CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa). CHOC is a non-profit organisation that advocates for the health and well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders and their families. Their passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers aim to save lives through early detection and comprehensive support programmes for families affected by cancer.

Our learners and staff wholeheartedly participated in the donation drive by generously contributing toiletries and non-perishable food items. Mrs Lianda May, Admissions and Marketing expressed her delight at the overwhelming support shown by the school community. Valentine’s Day is not just about celebrating romantic love; it’s also about
spreading kindness and compassion to those in need. We are immensely proud of school community for their enthusiastic participation and their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

St Teresa’s School remains dedicated to instilling values of empathy, kindness, and social responsibility in its learners, ensuring they grow into compassionate and socially conscious individuals.
