Well done to St Charles College Prep 1^st XI Cricket team. On Saturday, our Prep 1st XI hosted Highbury. With the Senior School having finished cricket a week earlier, these young stars were treated to a match on the Saints Oval, and they certainly made the most of it. Staff are searching through the archives to see if there has ever been as great a game of cricket as this. Highbury batted first, amassing 292/9, with Asher Hollister scoring an excellent 112 off 83 balls. The SCC boys showed character, grit and determination, putting up a huge fight, but ultimately falling just short by 7 runs. Well done to Chris Uys for making 103 off 68 balls and Scott Spencer on his 86 runs.

We can only say well done to all the players and thank Highbury for an excellent game of cricket that will surely be remembered for many years to come. 577 runs and 19 wickets in one game. The Gentleman’s game is alive and well. – Mr Gregg Cole-Edwardes (Head of Prep Sport)
