We are thrilled to announce that our very own Grade 7 learner, Ripfumelo Mkhabele has been crowned Primary School Netball Player of the Year at the prestigious Gauteng Schools’ Netball awards ceremony for 2024!
“I’ve been playing netball since Foundation Phase Grade 3, there’s been lots of ups and downs, like when I had to miss being selected for the 2023 netball team to attend my late grandfather’s funeral. I vowed to make it on the netball team and reach my full potential. I can finally say that I have accomplished that as well as gaining an academic scholarship. I thank my Grade 3 coach, Miss Wagner, my family, friends and especially my grandfather she said.”
On Friday, 23 August, Ripfumelo, accompanied by her proud parents, attended the annual awards dinner, where she received this outstanding recognition. This achievement is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and passion for netball, which she has nurtured since Grade 3.
We are incredibly proud of Ripfumelo’s accomplishment and celebrate her success. Her commitment to reaching her full potential is an inspiration to us all. Well done, Ripfumelo! Your star shines bright!
