On 25 September 2025, the EC Leaders of Volksrust High School brought smiles, music, and laughter to the residents of the Volksrust Old Age Home with a heartwarming afternoon filled with joy and entertainment.The visit was made extra special with delicious cupcakes to sweeten the day! Alongside the treats, our talented learners shared their gifts:

• Makaziwe Ngwenya performed a touching drama piece about a woman and everything she is, bringing warm smiles to the faces of the residents.
• Naomi van der Schyff captivated hearts with her beautiful singing voice.
• Thorisho Pitjeng performed a graceful ballet dance, while Amonè Klug impressed with a stunning modern ballet performance.
• Abundant Life, a youth Christian group from Dundee, delighted everyone with a fun and meaningful puppet show.

The elderly residents loved the vibrant energy and enthusiasm of our learners, and it was clear how much the visit meant to them. This was more than just a visit – it was the start of what we hope will become a tradition of sharing love, time, and joy with those who need it most. We look forward to reaching out to our community even more in the future.
