Coming up this week in Music: England is hosting their national British Suzuki Gala weekend in London on 8 and 9 April 2023. This event happens every 5 years and is held at the Royal College of Music as well as the Royal Albert Hall (main event). Only pupils of accredited Suzuki teachers may apply, and our very own Mrs Carol Solomon has acquired her accreditation owing to a partial sponsorship by The Wykeham Collegiate. The following pupils have been accepted in the “Playtogethers” on Saturday 8 April 2023, at the Royal College of Music where Mrs Solomon will be joining them.

  • Arya Pillay (piano), Eloise Suttie (violin), Eilidh Pereksles (violin), Luyanda Zondi (violin).
  • Zovandra von Rahden has been accepted into the main event which is going to be held at the Royal Albert Hall at 3pm on Easter Sunday 9 April 2023. There will be over 1500 pupils from across the world participating at the Sunday event.
